Woodwind
More than 200 children take part in woodwind groups at the Music Centre.
Groups usually take part in at least three public performances a year.
Who is it for?
All school children are welcome to audition (groups are graded according to ability).
Most new members join the Junior Wind Band and progress to other groups as they develop.

Group: Junior Wind Band
Rehearsal time: Monday, 4.15 – 5.15pm
Group: Intermediate Wind Band
Rehearsal time: Monday, 4.30 – 6.00pm
Group: Oldham Youth Wind Band
Rehearsal time: Monday, 6.30 – 8.45pm
Group: Saxation (saxophone club)
Rehearsal time: Monday, 4.00 – 4.30pm
Group: Double Reed Club
Rehearsal time: Wednesday, 4.15 – 5.15pm
Fees
£53.50 per term to join one or more groups in any department.
Discounts
Get £9.30 off your fee for each additional child from the same family joining a Music Centre group.
Get 50% off per child if you are eligible for free school meals.
