Brass & Percussion
More than 250 children take part in brass and percussion at the Music Centre.
All brass and percussion groups take part in at least three public performances each year.
Who is it for?
All school children are welcome to audition (groups are graded according to ability).
Most children start with the Junior Brass Band or Repercussions (a percussion ensemble) and progress to other groups as they develop.

Group: Junior Brass Band
Rehearsal time: Thursday, 4.30 – 5.30pm
Group: Intermediate Brass Band
Rehearsal time: Thursday, 4.30 – 6.00pm
Group: Youth Brass Band
Rehearsal time: Thursday, 6.30 – 8.45pm
Group: Youth Brass Ensemble
Rehearsal time: Tuesday, 6.15 – 7.15pm
Group: Repercussions (percussion ensemble)
Rehearsal time: Friday, 4.15pm – 5.15pm
Fees
Fees – £53.50 per term to join Oldham Music Centre.
Discounts
Get £9.30 off your fee for each additional child from the same family joining a Music Centre group.
Get 50% off per child if you are eligible for free school meals.
