We will be offering 3 different types of tuition which suits all ages and abilities – including shared lessons, paired lessons and individual lessons: group, duo and solo:

We are committed to working together with schools in Oldham to enable our tutors to provide lessons during the school day. If this is not available or suitable for your child, we may be able accommodate a lesson at our dedicated music centre in Oldham.

Instrument Hire Scheme
Oldham Music Service operate an Instrument Hire Scheme which enables individuals to hire instruments at a competitive rate. This way, you do not need to buy an instrument until you are sure that your child will carry on.
How the scheme works
Once we receive your application and first payment, we will allocate an instrument to you, or if none are available, place you on the waiting list. We unfortunately can not guarantee availability of instruments.
Instruments are split into two categories of hire –
Category 1 – £75 per year
Cornet
Trumpet
Pbone
Trombone
Clarinet
Flute
Violin
Viola
Guitar
Category 2 – £120 per year
Alto Saxophone
Tenor Saxophone
Tuba
Tenor Horn
Baritone
Euphonium
Double Bass
Cello
Flugel horn
Delivery and Return
Instruments can be collected from our Music Centre in Oldham during music centre opening hours. Alternatively instruments can be delivered by our music teacher or resource team at your child’s lesson. All instruments must be returned to the Music Centre at the end of the hire period. On return the instrument will be inspected by a member of our team and a confirmation receipt sent to you.
