The Oldham Music Service is recruiting to its team of casual, self-employed supply teachers with skills across all instrumental, vocal, classroom and music therapy disciplines.
Teachers selected for inclusion on the list will be able to provide cover for teacher absence and to create capacity for expansion as required. Successful applicants will have experience of and will be expected to deliver either small group instrumental tuition / whole class Wider Opportunities programmes at KS 1-4 and / or KS1/2 class music programmes.
A relevant music qualification and teaching experience are essential and a teaching qualification is desirable.
Some evening and weekend work may be offered and the ability to travel between schools and other venues is essential. Practitioners that are selected to join the pool of teachers will be responsible for their own tax and NI arrangements.
The Oldham Music Service is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and partners to share this commitment. Successful candidates must therefore provide evidence of enhanced CRB disclosure clearance and Public Liability Insurance. They will also be responsible for designing and delivering their own curricula, but will be able to access support and materials from the relevant senior staff of the Oldham Music Service as required.
Salary: £25 - £40 per hour dependent upon experience and qualifications.
The successful candidates will join a pool of musicians to cover sickness and growing demand from schools. Teaching hours will be offered in response to demand from schools.
Hours: As required to fulfil the service level teaching commitments of the Music Service.
